Rentals are go-at-your own pace. Average paddling time is 3 hours. This is a start to finish paddle. There is not an option to get out early. Launching near the small historical river town of Martindale, you can expect the first half to keep you on your toes; while the second half of the tour is calm allowing you the opportunity to relax and watch for wildlife. There is even an Bald Eagle that has been spotted several times on this tour.
